. . . Then he said to me, "These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white. That is why they are standing in front of the throne of God, serving him day and night in his Temple.  And he who sits on the throne will live among them and shelter them."   Revelation 7:14-15   NLT

CHOIR HISTORY

The Junior (Youth) Choir was organized over 46 years ago under the leadership of the late pastor Reverend J. A. Jackson and Sister Indiana Dudley.

The Young Adult Choir was organized under the leadership of Pastor Willie Daughtry, Jr., Sister Beverly Tinsley (pianist) and Sister Marcia Bass (matron)  in October 1986. The Young Adult Choir was composed of former members of the Junior Choir, because of their age, they wanted to form a choir of their own. Sister Tinsley talked to each member and they agreed to start this choir.

The Gospel Choir was organized in the year of the 1950’s under the leadership of Sister Indiana Dudley and the president at that time was Brother Frank Raleigh. Deacon Curtis and Brother Franklin Sallette were two more of the past presidents who held this office for many years. The Gospel Choir has had many pianists over the years. Some are Deacon Walker Tinsley, Sister Beverly Glover, sister Carol Ford, Brother Ezekiel Redding, Sister Beverly Tinsley, Sister Dorothy Tinsley and Brother Dewitt Jones.

AUXILIARY HISTORY

The Working Women Auxilliary was organized in 1978 under the leadership of Sister Alice Burnam and Sister Christine Morris. These women got together with their ideas to form a committee in order to help meet the needs of the church. This means things that we as women could do to make our church more beautiful. Our motto is “Working Together in Love, Peace and Unity.”
